1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SpotLift ("the App"), developed by Adan Villeda ("we", "us"), handles information when you use our iOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

SpotLift is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or sell:

• Personal identifiers (name, address, email) from unauthenticated users
• Photos or images taken through the camera
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Browsing history or usage patterns sold to third parties
• Financial or payment information
• Health or fitness data beyond what you explicitly save in the app

3. Camera Usage

SpotLift requests access to your device camera solely to scan and identify gym equipment. When you point the camera at a machine:

• The image is processed in real time to identify the equipment
• Images are sent securely to our AI identification service and are not stored on our servers
• No photos are saved to your camera roll unless you explicitly choose to do so
• Camera access can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → SpotLift → Camera

4. Optional Account Creation

SpotLift can be used without creating an account. If you choose to create an account to save equipment or access additional features:

• Authentication is handled by Supabase, a secure third-party service
• We store only your email address and the equipment you choose to save
• Your email is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us

5. Analytics & Crash Reporting

We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage data (such as which equipment categories are scanned most often) to improve the app. This data cannot be linked back to you individually and is never shared with advertising networks.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to function:

• Supabase — authentication and database (optional, account users only)
• Anthropic Claude AI — equipment identification from camera images
• YouTube Data API — fetching tutorial videos for identified equipment

None of these services receive your personal information for advertising or tracking purposes. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

If you use the app without an account, no personal data is retained after your session ends. If you create an account, your saved equipment list is retained until you delete your account. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing us.

8. Children's Privacy

SpotLift is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.
